Dev Tools Connectivity

Overview

The KnowHOW hosting server/environment must have web connectivity with the relevant tools. KnowHOW retrieves data via REST APIs with all supported tools.

Private Network Setup

If the connected tools are not accessible over the internet and operate within a private network, it is recommended to set up KnowHOW in the same network for seamless integration.

Authentication Best Practices

Use Service Accounts for authentication wherever possible.
Ensure the service account has read-only permissions if supported by the tool. If read-only permissions are not available, assign the lowest level of permissions necessary.
